CX 7 - Mountain Lion - I'm having trouble installing, and I'm getting strange errors.

Mountain Lion (10.8.x) has added a feature called GateKeeper. Gatekeeper is a new mechanism to protect against malware. By default, it will block installation packages if they are not signed with a Developer ID certificate. Strata software installers are not signed at this time, although the process is underway.

You could get errors like : "xxxxx.pkg can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer. Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from the Mac App Store and identified developers." Or, "xxxxx.mpkg is damaged and can't be opened. You should eject the disk image."

All you need to do is temporarily change the settings for the Gatekeeper, while you install the software. The settings are located in the Security & Privacy section of the System Preferences.

The default setting is "Mac App Store and identified developers."  Change the setting to "Anywhere," then install the software. You can change it back afterwards if you wish.
