Does Design 3D CX 6 work with Photoshop CS 5?
Design 3D CX v6 is a stand-alone application which comes with several optional Photoshop plug-ins. Not everyone needs or uses these plug-ins. The plug-ins work in Photoshop CS 4 Extended and CS 5 Extended.
In our testing so far, the Photoshop plug-ins that ship with Design 3D CX 6 can be installed into Photoshop CS 5 Extended, and are working with the following caveats:
-You must run Photoshop plug-ins in 32-bit mode or plug-ins will not work. Design 3D is a 32-bit application, although 64-bit support is a planned improvement. In Mac OS 10.6, select the application file, do a Get Info, and then enable 32-bit mode.
- You may need to turn off "Enable OpenGL Drawing" in the PS preferences.
Plug-ins that are compatible with Photoshop when running in 64 bit mode are being developed but we do not yet have a release date scheduled.
